MH-P16 Headset Bearing – The Precision Drop-In Solution for 1.5″ Integrated Headsets

Modern gravel, mountain and performance road bikes increasingly rely on 1.5″ lower headset bearings to stiffen the front end, accommodate tapered steerer tubes, and withstand the higher loads generated by wide tyres, disc brakes, and rough terrain. As a campy–style 45°/45° angular contact bearing, the MH-P16 is designed to absorb the combined radial and axial loads acting on the headset, allowing the fork to turn frictionlessly while maintaining perfect alignment of the steerer tube.

Características clave:

  • Sellos de goma dobles
Two high-grade rubber seals (2RS configuration) protect the bearing on both sides, blocking water spray, road grit, and fine dust from entering the bearing cavity while retaining lubricant.

  • Carga alta
MH-P16 is manufactured from chrome steel through-hardened for excellent hardness and rolling contact fatigue resistance, essential for withstanding the repeated shock loads, vibrations, and strong axial forces of rough terrain.

  • Liso, Low Friction Rotation
The combination of high-precision grinding of the raceways, precision-graded balls, and nylon cage results in a bearing that offers exceptionally low rolling resistance – translating into steering effort that is lighter, more precise, and free of catches, grinding, or notching.

  • Wide Range of Compatibility
The MH-P16 lower bearing is compatible with many of the most popular 1.5″ (45×45) integrated headsets, including Campagnolo-style integrated headsets found on many gravel and mountain bike frames. It also directly replaces original equipment bearings from FSA, Cane Creek, and others that use the same 40x52x7mm size and 45×45 interface.
